PC Repair & ServicePolicies

These policies explain how Byte Buster handles PC and laptop repairs, parts ordering, estimates, payments, shipping, mail-in repairs, and unclaimed devices. Please review them before scheduling a repair or sending a computer in for service.

01

Parts Ordering & Repair Payments

When a repair or custom build requires parts to be ordered, the full cost of the required parts is paid upfront before the order is placed. This parts payment is non-refundable once the parts have been ordered. Any remaining labor, service charges, or additional approved costs are due when the repair or build is completed. For mail-in services, the remaining balance must be paid before the completed system is shipped back.

02

Nationwide Mail-In PC & Laptop Repairs

Byte Buster accepts PC and laptop repairs by mail from customers throughout the United States. Customers sending a computer or laptop for repair must include a completed repair request form with the shipment. Repair work begins after both the device and completed form have been received. Once the repair is complete, the remaining balance must be paid before the device is shipped back to the customer.

03

Repair Estimates & Additional Issues

Byte Buster provides an estimate before repair or custom-build work begins. An estimate may change if additional problems, required parts, or necessary services are discovered during the repair process. If additional work is needed beyond the original scope, the customer will be notified before proceeding with the additional repair whenever practical.

04

Shipping & Device Handling

Customers are responsible for properly packaging devices and equipment submitted for service. Byte Buster handles customer systems and custom orders with care, but is not responsible for damage that occurs during shipping unless shipping insurance is purchased. Customers should use appropriate protective packaging and shipping insurance when sending valuable equipment.

05

Customer Contact Information

Customers must provide accurate and current contact information so Byte Buster can communicate about repair status, estimates, approvals, payment, pickup, or shipping. Delays in communication may delay the completion or return of a repair.

06

Unclaimed Devices & Storage

Completed repairs must be picked up or otherwise arranged for return within the applicable service period. Any device left unclaimed for more than 30 days after completion becomes the property of Byte Buster. Customers are responsible for making arrangements to retrieve completed devices and for maintaining current contact information so pickup or return arrangements can be completed.
